"Everything that a person needs is offered here at Alpha House."
-Former Alpha House Family
Alpha House provides shelter for families experiencing homelessness. Currently, Alpha House can shelter six families at a time. While in shelter families have a private space of their own, receive 3 meals each day and are provided items for their personal and hygiene needs. Each family is assigned a Housing Support Coordinator to help them located safe, affordable housing. Families also work with the Alpha House Employment & Personal Finance Specialist to locate employment, education and training opportunities in order to increase income.
If you are experiencing homelessness, contact Housing Access for Washtenaw County (HAWC) at 734.961.1999. HAWC is the central intake for individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness.
