What We Do
Congregate shelter at Alpha House (main hub)
Our congregate shelter on Jackson serves as our main hub. With recent expansions, we now house 14 family concurrently. This location also contained our Weather Amnesty program 2024-2025, which served more than 50 unique families.
Congregate shelter on Trinity Health St. Joseph's campus
Trinity Health Ann Arbor, with the support of Washtenaw County, announced it will open a temporary housing solution in November 2025 in a building on the hospital’s main campus, significantly expanding the county’s capacity to support unhoused families. The project is being launched with a $1 million Legislative Enhancement Grant from the State of Michigan’s FY25 budget secured by Senator Jeff Irwin. The facility will be operated by Interfaith Hospitality Network at Alpha House. Read more here.
Master Leasing Program
In July of 2025, we launched our Master Leasing Program in partnership with MDHHS. This enables us to provide shelter for larger families in six houses scattered around the county.
Hotel program in partnership with Washtenaw Community Mental Health
A new partnership with Community Mental Health (CMH) gives us the ability to provide short term shelter (7-14 days) for families in need.
