Hosting Meals at Alpha House
Alpha House works hard to provide our resident families with hot dinners throughout the week and brunch on the weekends. Often, these meals are generously prepared and hosted by congregations, volunteers, and other organizations. Congregations and volunteers are essential to our mission of helping families of Washtenaw County get back on their feet. Almost all of these volunteers are recruited and managed by our Congregational Coordinators. We are so grateful for their passion and hard work!
Hosting a meal at our Jackson Road location is one of the best ways you can help to serve Alpha House. If you're interested in hosting meals, whether it be for one day or a whole week, we would be most grateful!
We are asking ALL volunteers to please review the Alpha House Volunteer Guide, even if you've been a long-time volunteer of Alpha House! It includes information regarding confidentiality, timing, meal prep, & Current Volunteer COVID-19 Precaution Guidelines.
Please check our Meal Host Schedule to see available dates and our Current Residents list for resident allergies before filling out our Google Form for meal hosting. We are currently preparing the Meal Plan for 2027. If you have any questions, you can email Yohannes Desta, Volunteer Coordinator, at ydesta@alphahouse-ihn.org.
