What Are We Doing During COVID-19?

Thank you to everyone who continues to help us navigate this difficult time.  We are overwhelmed by the generosity and willingness of the many volunteers who continue to support Alpha House families with meals, supplies, and activities for the kids.  We are also very impressed by the many ways volunteers are adjusting by incorporating our guidelines for social distance.

We want you to know that our families are our top priority.  We have created a plan that will help keep them healthy, well-fed, safe and warm.  We have a sanitation protocol in place that will help minimize the spread of the virus if it does appear.  We also have an “isolate in place” plan for when, or if, a family member does contract the virus.  Currently, everyone at Alpha House is healthy.  There are no signs of the COVID-19 at this time.

As you may already realize, this is a very difficult time for our families.  Your continued support means a great deal to them. Not only are they worried about becoming ill, they also have concerns about their children’s welfare, the stability of their employment and their chances of finding permanent housing during this period.

To see what needs we currently have and how you can help, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Mark Heffner at mheffner@alphahouse-ihn.org

or give us a call at 734.822.0220.

If you would rather make a monetary contribution, your support at this time will go a very long way.

You can donate by going to the “Donate Now” button at the top of this page.

Thank you!
